Initiation systems
Electric detonatorsElectric detonators are modern, fully programmable and intelligent high strength detonators. Each detonator contains a circuit board that can be programmed to initiate at precise millisecond timing within a firing sequence. Detonators are individually programmed via the use of a handheld tagger and initiated via a bespoke blasting box.
Initiation systems
Non-electric Det. – MONEL MS/LPNon-electric detonator systems for initiation of surface blasts & long delay tunnel detonators for underground and demolition blasting. By using combinations of downhole detonators and the various surface delayed action connectors, the simplest to most complicated blast designs can be achieved.
Initiation systems
Dual Non-electric Det. – MONEL DUONon-electric initiation system, which consists of a shock tube assembled to a high power detonator that is lodged in a block-type plastic connector that is color-coded, according to the detonator delay to initiate the shock tubes. At the other end of the tube is a high power detonator to initiate the explosive load. Can be used in underground and open-pit mining.
Initiation systems
Electronic DetonatorsElectronic detonators are advanced initiation devices used in blasting operations for precise and controlled detonation of explosives. These detonators are equipped with electronic components that allow for accurate timing and sequencing, enhancing safety and efficiency in various industries such as mining and construction.
Initiation systems
Surface Connectors – MONEL QSA surface connector, non-electric, is a component used in explosive systems to link the initiation source, typically a blasting cap or detonator, to the main explosive charge. They provide a reliable means of transmitting the initiation signal to the primary explosive charge without the need for electrical components.
Initiation systems
Detonating CordDetonating Cord is a linear explosive consisting of a PETN powder wrapped in a flexible plastic outer coating. Detonating cord has a variety of uses in quarrying, mining, civil engineering and other specialist applications. Low strength detonating cords are typically used for the initiation of shock tube in both quarrying and demolition.
Initiation systems
Blasting AccessoriesBlasting accessories refer to supplementary tools and equipment used in conjunction with explosives for various industrial applications such as mining, construction, and demolition. They play a crucial role in ensuring the controlled and safe detonation of explosives during blasting operations.
High explosives
NITRAM – Packaged emulsionEmulsion explosives NITRAM is manufactured in a different range of cartridges of varing diameters and lingths. These explosives are suitable for use as a primer for initiating Ammonium nitrate based explosives.
High explosives
Cast BoosterA cast booster is a secondary explosive device typically composed of a mixture of powdered oxidizers and fuels encased in a plastic or rubber-like casing. It is designed to amplify the initiating power of a primary explosive, such as a detonator, and enhance the overall efficiency of the blasting process.
Blasting agents
ANFO – NITROANFO explosives are supplied in 25 Kg bags and are suitable for use in dry borehole conditions. Nitro is an oxygen balanced, free flowing mixture of ammonium nitrate prills and fuel oil. The lack of water resistance and low bulk strength of ANFO have to be recognised when designing blasts using these product.
Blasting agents
Tram – Bulk emulsionBulk emulsions are an emulsified Ammonium Nitrate solution incorporating a fuel phase. Classified as an oxidizing agent for transportation purposes the composition does not become explosive until mixed with gassing agents and sensitized at the point of delivery to the borehole.
